Yosemite Valley

We took the shuttle from Wawona Station to the Yosemite Valley (Village).  Absolutely no commercialism.  All about nature, preservation and green camping.  We went to the museum and a few pictures are below.
We completed this day by visiting the Victorian style Wawona Hotel.  Still in the same style as it once was.

Glacier Point

After we visited the Mariposa Grove  by way of shuttle, we returned to our car and drove to Glacier Point.  We thoroughly enjoyed the breathtaking scenery.  Glacier Point offers stunning views up the Merced River Canyon past Vernal and Nevada Falls and across the High Sierra.  Here are just a very few of our pictures.

Welcome to Glacier Point

Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias

Our first visit was to Mariposa Grove and the Giant Sequoias.  The giant sequoias are the largest living things known to humans.  Most pictures are self explanatory.
